The aviation patient handling kit is specifically designed to comply with the recommendations by both IATA and ECAC for the prevention of the spread of communicable diseases by means of air travel. (Reference: Recommendation ECAC/29-2)
The contents of the pack will allow cabin crew/passenger agents to attend to a passenger with a suspected communicable disease. This will enable the incident to be handled safely and help to minimise any possibility of further transmission of disease.
